I set myself an overly ambitious goal in December to finish a rough draft. I’m not sure I can even call it a goal. I’m not sure what was behind me thinking, “Gee, I wonder if I can write an 80,000 word novel while hosting family holidays and dealing with the busiest time of year for my life in general. Oh, and I’m giving myself a deadline in three weeks.”

What I’m happy about this week: rest.
It’s been just over a week since Lingering Touch came out. There’s been so much activity surrounding it! I added a section to the Lingering Touch page on my web site just to track all the guest blog posts, features, and interviews! <3
I’m thrilled to have been interviewed on the USA Today Happy Ever After blog site (check out my new glasses!). There’s also a feature on MJ Schiller, Romance Author‘s site. I wrote a guest blog post for Fresh Fiction about who I’d cast as the characters in Lingering Touch if it were made into a movie. Today is triply blessed for me. It’s the Summer Solstice and the full moon for June—the Strong Sun Moon. And also, today is the release day for my latest scifi novella (which is not at all a coincidence 😉 ).
It’s a good time to take stock of the last year, and after reading my post for last year’s June full moon, I’m amazed, humbled, and grateful for all the wonderful progress in my writing career.
One of the best parts of being a hybrid author is that I can pick the release dates for my Indie works. I knew I wanted Business or Pleasure to come out in June. When I checked the calendar and saw that the full moon fell on the Summer Solstice, I knew I had to pick today as my release date.
