Gray Card

Gray Card is the award-winning first book in my longest Scifi Romance series, The Department of Homeworld Security.

I have to be honest with you — this first book in the series is almost pure fluff (with lots and lots of heat). It’s optimistic, funny, and never gets too dark or intense. It’s also nice and short. Most people can read it in about an hour or two. I absolutely designed it that way on purpose.

Have you ever wanted to read a book and just let your brain shut down and watch the pretty pictures and have fun and feel good and then end up feeling even better when you’re done? That’s what I was aiming for with this book.

It has 50’s Scifi movie references. It has cool spaceships. It has a super-hot hero and an ultra-strong heroine and lots and lots of explicit… “affection” 😉 It is silly and weird and entertaining.

And most importantly, it’s filled with awesomely terrible puns.

What’s not to love?

Is he after her heart or her planet?

Evelyn Chambers is a nerdgirl and proud of it. When she finds out that her drop-dead gorgeous best friend is an alien general with only three days left on Earth, she has to wrap her head around too much at once. Aliens are real, and if she wants to keep hanging out with one, she’ll have to marry him!

Adam Smith has never seen a planet as beautiful as Earth or a woman as enticing as Evelyn. His government wants him to re-enlist, but when Evelyn suggests marriage to help him stay, Adam realizes that what he really wants is her—and he’ll sacrifice everything to be with her.

Can he convince his government—and Evelyn—that he’s looking for more than a Gray card?
