Writers face many challenges. One that might not be as well-known among readers is how we agonize over where our books fit in to the grand world of fiction. I’ve rarely met a writer who hasn’t at one point wondered what genre they should use to help readers connect with their works.
So, what do you do when you can’t find a genre that really fits your work? Why, you make up a new one, of course. And thus, the genre of Horrormance was born.
I am so excited to share the results of my latest creative voyage—setting up my very own YouTube channel! I’ve already created a couple of videos to share with you, including my very first book trailer!
In keeping with the Halloween season, the videos feature werewolves, goblins, and other Fairy Tale creatures. Plus, as always, romance!
I set myself an overly ambitious goal in December to finish a rough draft. I’m not sure I can even call it a goal. I’m not sure what was behind me thinking, “Gee, I wonder if I can write an 80,000 word novel while hosting family holidays and dealing with the busiest time of year for my life in general. Oh, and I’m giving myself a deadline in three weeks.”

The Blades of Janus have many resources to help them combat the alien threats that have spread all over Earth. Rayguns, hoverbikes, silver-infused swords. One of their most important tools mentioned in Pack, the first novel set in this world, is the Dwellers Database.
