The first book I had traditionally published finally has the cover it deserves! Wandering Soul absolutely changed the trajectory of my life.

Forbidden Instinct
Any time I look back on Forbidden Instinct, I ask myself the same question. Why the heck haven’t I done more with this series?
I absolutely love it, have the second book halfway written, and have the rest of the series mapped out. Plus, I’ve received some of the absolutely best feedback about this series.
So, why haven’t I done more? The answer is… complicated.
Honestly? This series has a huge amount of potential, and I think that scares me. I know, it’s ridiculous and I should just push through and write it, but I really want to do this right. I haven’t given up on it, even though it’s been on the shelf for a while, and I’m actually still working on it in the background.
I will return full-heartedly to this series someday soon, I hope! And it will be epic…

To save the world, she’ll sacrifice anything—even the man she loves.

Today’s book for #ThrowbackThursday is the final installment of The Summer Park Psychics trilogy, Lingering Touch. This is by far the most suspenseful and action-packed of the three books. I had learned so much by the time I wrote it, and learned even more after publishing it.
Ever since I read the pivotal moment of “the flight of the queens” and Ruth’s hatching in Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern series in several books from different points of view (POV), I dreamed of exploring that creative technique in my own stories. With Whispering Hearts and Lingering Touch, I took my first plunge into writing stories that ran in parallel to each other. You’ll see conversations in each book from the different characters’ POVs, getting a much deeper view into what was going on during those moments.
Could I have done it better? Undoubtedly. But the knowledge I gained, and the extra time spent with characters I love was absolutely worth it. I have to say that I consider Lingering Touch to be the strongest book in the trilogy. I hope you’ll give it a chance!

The memory of his touch has never left her heart…or her body.

Hello, again! For today’s book featured on #ThrowbackThursday, we’re moving through my Summer Park Psychics series with Whispering Hearts. I absolutely adored Dr. Garrett Wolfstrom in Wandering Soul. I wanted to spend more time with him and learn more about him. How better than to give him his own book?
I remember that it took me a long time to figure out who he’d end up with. When I spent some more time with Rachel, and learned just how special she was, the pair just clicked. I still think of them both every year around Tanabata (July 7 is the version of this holiday I used for their book).

Chased into the arms of the man she can never have…

Hello, everyone! I’ve wanted to revisit my books in this space for a long time, so for the next while, I’ll be featuring a different book of mine on #ThrowbackThursday! What better place to start than the very beginning? Wandering Soul was the first book I ever had published, and started off with Samhain Publishing, Ltd. but is now Indie published by me. It’s my take on what would happen if The Phantom of the Opera came to modern times, with my own personal take on the theme.

She saved him from death, but can he open her heart to love?

Hello, everybody! You know that gorgeous little book I’ve been saying will come out in late October? It’s out early. Surprise!
Yup, Forbidden Instinct has launched, and with it my new Paranormal Romance series, Forbidden Knights 😀 Continue reading “Trick and Treat!”
