Happy Autumn Equinox 2019!

Happy Autumn Equinox!

It’s the first day of my favorite season, Fall! The nights will start getting longer, the days hopefully will be cooler, and the leaves will soon begin revealing their true vibrant shades (do you remember those science lessons about the green color of chlorophyll masking a tree’s true colors? 💖🍁).

Today, we get to enjoy a day of perfect balance, though. The night and the day are exactly the same length.

I always try to do something special on the solstices and equinoxes Continue reading “Happy Autumn Equinox 2019!”

Cold Moon Goals Progress

Looking back on my post for the new moon this month, I actually made a lot more progress than I realized! My planners for 2019 are set up (I actually have three of them), and though I haven’t mapped out exactly when I’ll be working on each writing project, I’m ready to roll with the next two—and I finished the novella I’ve been working on for way too long! Cold Moon Goals

The new moon this month has come and gone, and I’ve been busily working toward many goals. One of them, ironically, was to start blogging on each new moon about my focus for that month. Oops! Better late than never 🙂

For the Cold Moon of January, I’m creating structures and processes. With the crystalline clarity of ice, I’m crafting methods to bring my life more into alignment. Continue reading “Cold Moon Goals”

Joyous Solstice!

It’s the first day of Winter and we’re heading into the longest night of the year. We get a full moon tomorrow (the “Long Night’s Moon”), to boot!

I celebrate the darkness on this day as well as the return of the light. When I talk to the little ones in my life about darkness, I tell them there’s nothing to fear, because darkness is where Dream lives. We can paint anything on that inky void that we wantdragons, forests, urban mages, or yes, fear. The choice is ours. Continue reading “Joyous Solstice!”

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

However you mark the turning of the wheel of the year, I hope you’re all enjoying a bit of down time, lovely food, and nourishing company.

Holiday season can mean full schedules and empty energy wells. Around the holidays, it’s even more important to me to minimize time with people and activities that draw from my well and make an extra effort to take care of myself and my dear ones. Continue reading “Happy Thanksgiving Eve!”
