Summer Solstice 2020

Happy Summer Solstice! Also known as Litha, this is the first day of Summer and the longest day of the year, with the shortest night.

BarleyField

We’re going to make the best of this Summer, spending time out back in the little tent we just acquired, going for walks in the park, and reading together as a family. We’ll definitely be sticking around home more, and are doing our best to invest in and strengthen our relationships.

Of course, we also need to be able to escape, and for my family, books are the best way to do so. Even if we’re all physically sharing a room, when we read, we’re all adventuring off in different worlds. I’m very lucky that my whole family feels this way!

I’m sure the Summer will hold many adventures, both in the real world and the fictional worlds we visit. But most importantly, it will hold stronger connections to those we love.

How do you plan to spend your Summer?
