Today is the new moon that brings us toward the Cold Moon. After the whirlwind of the holidays, and heading into the new year, this seems like a good time to pause and get my bearings.
This is a time of stillness in the year. Of frozen waters and still woods. It’s also a time to remember that the days are at last getting longer and the darkness is receding. And yet, the coldest part of the year is still to come!
Lately, I’ve been going a little nuts with cleansing and purging and organizing my house. It’s an absolutely necessary step, and moves me toward reclaiming tabletop RPGs as a hobby—something I’ve been sorely missing for a long time.
Once our living space is situated in a way that supports our day-to-day lives, then I’ll start in on the storage areas. Wish me luck!
I know those things are in my future, but for the moment I’m going to let myself take a little while to pause, rest, and recharge.
