Mourning Moon Progress 2019

I should have decided giving up catching colds for this full moon cycle 😆 It seems like I’ve caught one after another this Autumn. But I’m on the mend at last, and still managed to make progress toward my goals.

I found the perfect planner for 2020 and am eager to try it out. For the rest of 2019, I’m working on leveling up my social media game. I’ve created a matrix to help me experiment with schedules so that I’m creating content that you’ll enjoy in a more regular fashion. I sometimes don’t realize when days go by and I haven’t posted anything! I’m always working in the background, though.

I’m taking a bit of a detour from my plan to finish Vaughn’s book (it’s been giving me trouble) and am about a third of the way through writing a special holiday piece! And, in keeping with this lunar energy, I wrote an outline for it!

I stopped outlining my books a while back because my outlines would be so thorough that it was almost like writing the book twice. Now I realize I need to go through that part of the process. I thought it would make me more productive to just dive straight into the books, but looking back, I produced so many more books during the years I was outlining.

My writing works best when I have several books in a series outlined at once. That way, when I sit down to write, I know where I’m going and the words flow much more easily. I also can work in fun Easter Eggs and make the series arcs more interesting when I have a more extensive view of where I’m going.

As soon as this holiday piece is done, I’m going to outline Vaughn’s book. I think that will help me stop running into roadblocks as I go.

I’m also getting back on track with my health goals and have created a checklist to help me keep on top of that. No more winging it there, either. I’m already seeing benefits, and hope making my health a higher priority will help me avoid more colds this Winter.

It’s a lot, all things considered. I definitely put this lunar month’s energy to good use!

As we wrap up this year, I hope you can take some time for yourself as well. Let me know in the comments if you have any special self-care routines. I’d love to hear about them!
